Safeguarding and welfare

The health, safety and well-being of every swimmer is our main concern; our aim is that swimmers will enjoy their time with us. Safeguarding our swimmers is everybody’s responsibility and we want to work in partnership with you to help all swimmers to achieve their full potential.

To promote a safe environment for swimmers, our selection and recruitment policy follows guidelines set down by Swim England. It includes checks on Coaches', Team Managers' and other volunteers’ suitability including DBS and reference checks. We provide our volunteers in contact with our swimmers with safeguarding training as recommended by Swim England.

Our designated Welfare Officers, are responsible for all safeguarding matters within the club and you can contact them on [email protected].They are all experienced and trained in child safeguarding and welfare and can be contacted on the club phone number or through your coach if you prefer not to email.

A copy of our Child Protection Policy can be found on this link Safeguarding Policy Statement
