Masters British Championships (LC) Aberdeen 17th - 19th June 2022

This event was a good ‘warm up’ meet for European Championships in Rome in August, and also a first British Championship event for some.

As always the team spirit was high despite the small number of swimmers, there were some great swims, and every swimmer came away with at least one medal.

 

The team: Matt Conrad-Jones, Samantha Usher, Ben Allsopp, Greg du Tertre, Kate King, Charlie Wilson, Pip Williams

 

The result: 5 club records, 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 9 bronze medals.

 

Club records:

Sam Usher (50-54 age group): 1500 free, 800 free, 200 breaststroke, 200 IM

Pip Williams (60-64 age group): 100 butterfly

 

Gold medals: 

Ben Allsopp (30-34 age group): 100 backstroke

Greg DT (30-34 age group) 200 breaststroke

Pip Williams (60-64 age group): 50 backstroke

 

A big shout out for Kate King in her first British Championship, winning 2 bronze medals in the 4x200 and 4x50 mixed freestyle relays.
