Masters Inter-Counties Championship 2022
A 38 strong Berks and South Bucks Masters team headed to the iconic London Aquatic Centre on Sunday 20th November, for the South East round of the national inter-counties championship.
Of those 38 swim
mers selected, 14 were WDSC masters, our strongest showing ever:
Kellyn Caldwell, Rachel Calver, Sarah Collin, Rachel Cox, Greg du Tertre, Keith Goggin, Jen Holland, Caz Jubb, Francine Kidd, Kate King, Samantha Usher, Pip Williams, Kevin Wills, Charlie Wilson.
The swim of the day was Keith Goggin (45-49 age group) who sped to a storming 26.69 50 free in a relay - the first time he has ever gone under the 27 second mark.
Overall Berks and South Bucks came 3rd in the South East. The nationwide result will be announced shortly, but after a strong showing, we are hoping for a top 8 place.
Swimming in the Olympic pool was a great experience and was enjoyed by everyone. As was the Thai meal afterwards :)
