Berks and South Bucks Masters County Championships 11th September 2022

John Reed

This year the Masters County Championships was held for the first timeat the new Braywick Leisure Centre in Maidenhead. WDSC were very well represented with 20 swimmers, and the team included a number of our younger masters and seniors, who have not competed for us at Counties before.

It was a huge effort from everyone (especially those who were at Europeans only a week before), and the totals were 35 GOLD, 23 SILVER and 5 BRONZE, with 12 new Club records being set.

The WDSC Masters were crowned County Champions for the fourth consecutive time, with our total score double that of the team from Bracknell in second place.

The day finished with the usual curry all together, as we said ‘Goodbye’ to Amy Pantridge as she moves to Plymouth, and a ‘Happy 60th Birthday’ to Pip.
